Description
1953 first edition is in a sorry state, but very scarce. Top 4cm and bottom 2.5 cm of the spine missing. Board edges scuffed and bumped, hinges cracked, front endpapers pencil marked and torn at the hinge, owner’s inscription. Pencil scribbles on the series page. Rear endpaper and paste-down torn and have a lot of red pencil on them. 16 of the story pages have either red of graphite pencil scribbles, some of those with red crayon.
