Taken from review off of “Allmusic.com” by Scott Yanow…”Although Lee Collins was one of the more talented New Orleans trumpeters and he spent much time in Chicago, he had very few opportunities to record as a leader. In fact his three albums consist of a very obscure effort for the tiny New Orleans Rec. label plus two live records for Rarities; all are difficult to find. The first of his two Rarities volumes has a pair of radio broadcasts from San Francisco’s Hangover Club in 1953.
